Additional Land in Pondok Ranggo TPU Keeps Being Finalized

A 1,200-square meter land located in the Pondok Ranggon Public Cemetery (TPU), Pondok Ranggon Urban Village, Cipayung, continues to be finalized to be made as additional to cemetery area. The land itself is able to accommodate 440 plots of tomb.

East Jakarta Forestry Sub-dept Head, Romy Sidharta disclosed, the land is an additional result of land acquisition conducted by Forestry Dept some time ago. Previously, residents occupied it as a dwelling.

Land Buying Obstructs Pondok Ranggon 1 Reservoir Construction

Of the 59 hectares land, there are only 4,000 square meters left and unused. Therefore, his sub-dept plans to use it as Muslim Cemetery.

"Every day, there are 15 cemetery services. To speed up our project, we will send heavy equipment," he finished.
